WhatsApp’s rival, Telegram, has rolled out a new update just before the start of 2023. According to the official blog, the latest update to the Telegram app brings a bunch of new features, including hide media with spoiler effects, new ways to save space on your device, new drawing tools, suggested profile pictures, and much more.
The best feature is that Telegram users can now easily hide their messages using the spoiler effect. They will only be revealed after the recipient intercepts the message. Previously, the spoiler function was limited to text messages, but now it has been expanded to include photos and videos. The new “Hide with spoiler” option can be accessed in the latest Telegram app update by clicking on the 3-dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the media selection window.
Telegram also gets new storage management options. For better control, Telegram will show you a pie chart to help you better understand what’s eating up your local area. After analyzing it, users can decide to delete photos, videos and other items to free up space. After the images are deleted, you can download them again from the Telegram cloud. You also get tools to create auto-delete rule sets for new and existing chats.
In addition to these two main features, Telegram’s latest update also brings new progress animations, drawing tools, and the ability to post custom profile photos for others in their contacts. Admins with 100+ members can now choose to hide the member list to avoid contact spam. Premium Telegram users get 10 new animated emojis. The new Telegram update is rolling out widely from December 30, 2022.
If you haven’t received the update, then you should visit the Google Play Store and check if there is a pending Telegram update or not.
