The Huawei P60 series is set to debut in the coming months. A usually reliable source of Huawei news has now revealed more details about the camera-focused phones, as well as information about the devices that will be featured in the lineup.

While Huawei failed to launch a new generation of the P-series last year after the 2021 P50 series, the Chinese company looks set to finally bring the P60 series to market, and rumors of a camera-focused flagship are now a little faster. are rotating.

As revealed by tipster @RODENT950, Huawei has four models in the P60 series. The lineup reportedly starts with the budget P60E and also includes the vanilla P60, P60 Pro and what could be the P60 Ultra. This P60 Ultra seems to be a replacement for the “Plus” models like the P40 Pro+ and Mate 40 Pro+. Given the emergence of popular “Ultra” models from the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung, it makes sense to see a rebrand, especially with rumors that Apple could release an iPhone 15 Ultra this year.

The same leaker also revealed some important camera details of the Huawei P60 and P60 Pro. The P60 is believed to have a triple camera setup on its back, with a 50MP IMX789 as the main camera, a 50MP IMX858 as an ultra-wide shooter, and a 16MP IMX351 under the zoom lens. The vanilla model is expected to offer variable aperture technology.

According to @RODENT950 , the Huawei P60 Pro retains the 50MP IMX789, which is a shame seeing as the IMX789 is an impressive, old sensor that was used two years ago on the OnePlus 9 Pro and the IMX858 : It adds an IMX888 to the mix, however, along with a 64MP OV64B to round out the quad-camera system, which also features “dual-frame variable aperture.”
