Chrome browsers
First, update your Google Chrome browser
Before you see my tips below, be sure to follow these instructions to update your Google Chrome browser. About every six weeks (if not sooner), Google updates its browser and often updates it with security updates and other minor cosmetic changes.

On a Mac
How to turn off autocomplete in Google Chrome (Mac)
- Open Chrome:
- Click the button in the upper right corner of your screen 3 vertical points (must be next to your profile picture)
- Click Settings
- In the left pane, select Autofill
- A list of items that use autofill will appear (ie Password Manager, Payment Methods, etc.). Click on each one that you don’t want autocomplete to use and disable everything
How to delete existing autofill data in Chrome (Mac)
- Open Chrome:
- Click in the top right corner of your screen 3 vertical points (must be next to your profile picture)
- Choose: Storyand select Story from the pop-up menu
- In the panel on the left, select Clear browsing data
- Click Advanced tab
- In Time frame menu, select All the time (this step may depend on your version of Chrome)
- Make sure Autofill form data is disabled. Check any other options you want to clear
- Choose: Clear data

How to turn off autocomplete in Google Chrome browser (iPhone)
- Open Chrome: app
- Tap 3 points at the bottom right of your screen and select Settings
- Choose: Payment methods
- Turn off Save and complete payment methods and click done
- Do the same for it Password manager and: Addresses and more if you want to autocomplete for those options as well
How to delete existing autofill data in Chrome (iPhone)
- Open Chrome: app
- Tap 3 points at the bottom right of your screen
- Scroll down a bit and select Clear browsing data
- Adjust the time range at the top of the screen to say All the time
- Make sure Autofill data is disabled
- Choose: Clear Browsing Data then Clear browsing data to confirm again

On a Mac
How to turn off autocomplete in Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari
- Click next to the Apple icon at the top of your screen Safari
- Click Settings
- Choose: Autofill
- Turn off the note Usernames and Passwordsas well as any options for which you don’t want Safari to save autofill data
How to clear existing autocomplete data in Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari
- Click next to the Apple icon at the top of your screen Safari
- Choose: Pure history
- In Clear menuchoose the whole story
- Choose: Pure history
on an iPhone
How to turn off autocomplete in Safari (iPhone)
- Open Settings
- Choose: Safari
- Under General tab, select Autofill
- Convert is disabled options for Use Contact Information and: Credit cards

- Choose: All the time and click done

- Open Firefox:
- Click 3 lines at the top right of the screen
- Choose: Settings
- Choose: Privacy and Security
- Under Forms and autofilluncheck the options for which you want to disable AutoFill
How to clear existing autocomplete data in Firefox (Mac)
- Open Firefox:
- Click 3 lines at the top right of the screen
- Choose: Settings
- Choose: Privacy and Security
- Under Logins and passwordsremove the note Ask to save logins and passwords for websites.
- Click to clear saved logins and passwords Saved entries
- Remove any entries you don’t want to save
on an iPhone

- Open Firefox plugin
- Tap 3 horizontal lines in the lower right corner
- Choose: Settings
- Under privacy, knock Data management
- Choose: Clear personal data and click ok confirm

- The menu should be default Profiles:. If not, select this option menu on the left.
- In Your profile department, turn off Passwords, payment information, and any other options you don’t want auto-filled
