Hyderabad. Senior Tollywood actor V.K. Naresh announced on Saturday that he will marry Canadian actress Pavitra Lokesh soon.
Naresh uploaded a special video Twitter: which showed the couple sharing a cake and then kissing each other on the lips.
“New year, new beginnings, need all your blessings. From us, to all of you #HappyNewYear,” Naresh captioned the video.
The couple has reportedly been living together for a while and they have now decided to make their relationship official with a romantic video.
Naresh was reportedly separated from his third wife Ramya Raghupathi, while Pavitra was also living separately from her partner.
62-year-old Naresh is the half-brother of actor Mahesh Babu. He is the son of late actress Vijaya Nirmala and her first husband KS Murthy.
Vijaya Nirmala married superstar Krishna after divorcing her first husband. Naresh, who is a social activist and politician, started his career as a child artiste in the 1970s and has appeared in around 200 films.
Naresh married the daughter of choreographer Srinu and after their divorce married Rekha Supriya, the granddaughter of lyricist Devulpalli Krishna Shastri. Later he also divorced his second wife to marry Ramya.
Ramya caught Naresh and Pavitra at a Mysore hotel in July. In a video shared on social media, Ramya attacked them with her shoes as they left the room and headed for the elevator. He had called Pavitra a “home breaker”.
Later, Naresh had stated that since he had sent a divorce notice to Ramya, he had tried to defame her.
BJP chief Naresh had also unsuccessfully contested from the Hindupur Lok Sabha seat on a saffron party ticket.
Pavitra, who started her career at the age of 16, plays supporting roles in Kannada and Telugu films. He has appeared in over 150 films and several television series.
She divorced her first husband, who was a software engineer. She later had a live-in relationship with actor Suchendra Prasad but broke up in 2018.
