All parents carry a little guilt for one reason or another, but for Nick Cannon, dad guilt is a little different. The actor and media personality recently opened up about being a father of 11 and soon to be 12 in the latest episode of Checkup with Dr. Agus.
“Being a father of many children, my biggest sin is always that I don’t spend enough time with all of my children,” Cannon says. Many people are wondering how it is Wild N’ Out the host now plans to extend his time further, given that he is expecting a new baby with partner Alyssa Scott.
“One, because I work all the time, and two, because I’m just thin,” she explained.
If you recall, Scott and Cannon tragically lost their first child, Zen, last December at just five months old to brain cancer. Cannon also spoke about the couple’s decision not to undergo chemotherapy for their baby boy.
“He was healthy, active, always smiling,” his father said of Zen. The baby also appears to have had breathing problems as early as two months old.
“We [also] noticed that his head is a little bigger [but] all my children have big heads. I was a big-headed kid,” Cannon said.
Thinking that Zen might have asthma, the new parents took the baby to the doctor, who was immediately concerned by the size of the baby’s head. Cannon said the doctor noted that this was “the first sign that something was going on.”
According to People , Zen was diagnosed with high-grade glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. But for Cannon and Scott, chemistry just wasn’t an option.
“Seeing your son connected to all those machines and having to go in for a shunt two or three times and it was heartbreaking every time, even in that short period of time, I couldn’t imagine what he had to go through. chemistry”.
Cannon, who knows the treatment all too well (as she also had to undergo a form of chemotherapy for her lupus), told the show’s host that she “knew what it did to me.” As Cannon is expecting his 12th child, many are wondering why he continues to father children and whether or not they were all planned. She insisted that she always wanted to have a big family and that she might not be done yet.
On Saturday, vacation photos of Cannon with his kids and their moms on various dates started making the rounds online, and there was. a lot said on social media.
