Cartoon Network is one of the oldest cartoon channels

A piece of the paper sent the internet down memory lane after it went viral. Shared on Linkedin by user Vinod Arora, the snippet shows a list of animated shows featured on Cartoon Network.

The clip featured a schedule of cartoons that aired on Cartoon Network starting at 5am. The section had all the favorite shows, including Scooby Doo, The Pouffe Girls, Tom and Jerry, Dexter’s Laboratory, The Mask and The Popeye Show. The post brought back memories for several users on social media.

Along with the post, the caption reads: “The only thing I expected in 1996-1997 was this. it was a thrill to read the daily schedule and find out the daily shows!!! Everyone knows or remembers this. ??”

The post received over 7,000 comments and 287 comments. The post went viral on social media platforms as the newspaper segment brought back many memories. One of the users wrote: “One of the users commented: “I literally go through the papers every day just to read the names of the different shows and how many times they’re coming on. Man, I really miss those days much better than today’s social media era.”

Another user commented: “Oh my god, yes. I remember waiting until the polar movies came on to make sure the bomb wasn’t a mistake and it really was time to turn off the TV.’

A third user commented: “Until the 2000s, CN ended at 9 p.m., with Popeye as the last show at 8:30, after which a TNT bomb would explode on the screen to end the cartoons for the night. After 9pm it used to be black. and white English songs/movies”.

Cartoon Network is one of the oldest cartoon channels, it was founded on October 1, 1992.
