Ashneer Grover’s unsolicited marriage advice for millennials and Gen Z didn’t go down well on social media.
New DelhiAshneer Grover, former co-founder of BharatPe and judge on Shark Tank India, is known for more than just his business acumen. In Shark Tank India Season 1, his no-nonsense answers made him a fan favorite and spawned memes on social media. In the first season of Shark Tank India, Grover’s harsh response to entrepreneurs even made some of the other judges point it out to him. However, he remained true to his words and said: “Sometimes you’re nice to someone by not being nice to them.” In a recent interview, Ashneer Grover’s unsolicited advice on millennial marriage and Gen Z didn’t go down well on social media.
On The Ranveer Show Podcast, Ashneer Grover was asked what lessons he learned in his 20s. A video of the interview has now gone viral on social media where Grover asked people to get married early and not feel bad about it. “I have a strong opinion about people getting married late. There is a biological clock for both men and women. Get married early to free yourself and do bigger things in life,” Ashneer Grover said in an interview.
Grover’s marriage advice has angered people online. “Only a MAN can say ‘ap jaldi bachay karlo and then release ho jao to do bigger things.’ you are not late in life. You are not behind or ahead of anyone. your life is worth living for yourself please (sic),β wrote one Twitter user.
Another user commented: βOnly a man can say ‘free’ after marriage and children because the whole system is built on the backbone of women’s work and sacrifice. Our mothers and grandmothers are examples. Remember that ‘my dad will never know what grade I’m in’ joke we all cracked.”
Wow! Nice advice.
It’s quite similar to saying “Light a fire at home, you’ll be motivated and quickly learn to put out a fire.” Lol π€£
It’s pretty sad that you have to take on external responsibilities to get motivated in life.
Anyway, it was to be expected from this guy.

Only a man can say “liberate” after marriage and children, because the whole system is built on the basis of women’s work and sacrifice. Our mothers and grandmothers are examples. Remember that “my dad will never know what grade I’m in” joke we’ve all cracked. https://t.co/5pE5CS5GK9
