Samsung Electronics is introducing its new Odyssey, ViewFinity and Smart monitor series at CES, sparking the next generation of display technology.

Odyssey Neo G9’s revolutionary dual UHD 57” curved display paves the way for monitors in 2023 and beyond.

Samsung Electronics today announced that it will introduce new models to its monitor line, expanding its visual display leadership for all users.

New offerings in the Odyssey, ViewFinity and Smart Monitor lineups at CES^® 2023 will provide exceptional image quality and a range of innovative features for people who want to work, play and live through their monitor display.

Samsung is revolutionizing the ultra-wide display category with the Odyssey Neo G9, a single monitor with double ultra-high definition. This innovation is a testament to Samsung’s market leadership in delivering the most immersive and realistic gaming experiences on the market.

Odyssey Neo G9. Dual UHD gaming monitor

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor (model name: G95NC) allows gamers to see a new level of detail with an amazing field of view. The gaming monitor provides a resolution of 7680×2160 and an aspect ratio of 32:9 in one screen.

Its 1000R curved 57-inch display uses quantum mini LED technology with VESA Display HDR 1000 specification to display stunning images in any gaming environment, from shadows to vivid scenes. The matte screen reduces light reflection on the screen, minimizing distractions during the most intense games.

It also boasts DisplayPort 2.1 support, which transfers data roughly twice as fast as the previously used DisplayPort 1.4. In addition, the new DP2.1 enables lossless industry standard Display Stream Compression (DSC) to transmit information without distortion.

The Odyssey Neo G9 also supports a 240Hz refresh rate so gamers don’t miss any action during fast-paced gameplay.

Odyssey OLED G9. brighter whites, deeper blacks and almost infinite color contrast

The Odyssey OLED G9 (model number: G95SC) is the latest addition to the Odyssey series, featuring a dual-quad HD 49-inch 1800R curved display with a 32:9 aspect ratio. That quantum dot technology OLED lighting is controlled pixel by pixel, allowing for an almost infinite color contrast ratio.

The OLED display illuminates each pixel individually and does not rely on backlighting, allowing for a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 while delivering RGB and deep blacks without color filters.

For smooth gaming, the Odyssey OLED G9 also features a 0.1ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate to eliminate lag and skipping.

The Odyssey OLED G9 also supports third-party apps such as Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube via the Smart Hub, allowing users to enjoy a variety of immersive content using an Internet connection without a PC. of need.

It also comes equipped with Samsung Gaming Hub[1]a complete game streaming platform that allows gamers to find and play games in the cloud from partners like Xbox and NVIDIA GeForce Now without the need for a console or downloading games.

ViewFinity S9. Intelligent color calibration designed for creative professionals

The ViewFinity S9 (Model Number: S90PC) is Samsung’s newest addition to its line of monitors. It features a 5K 27” display for the first time on the S9 model and is optimized for creative professionals such as graphic designers and photographers. Its 5,120 x 2,880 resolution combined with a wide color gamut of 99% DCI-P3 provides sharp and true-to-life shape details and an average Delta E ≦ 2.[2] Color accuracy also ensures crisp and accurate color representation, even in complex or nuanced visual environments.

The monitor’s built-in Color Calibration Engine ensures accurate display color and brightness, allowing users to adjust white balance, Gamma and RGB color balance for accuracy with their smartphones via the Samsung Smart Calibration app. The matte display limits light reflection and glare to minimize distractions while working.

Users can connect cameras and other devices to the monitor via USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 connections to easily transfer huge high-definition video files or other large data sets from storage devices to their PC. The ViewFinity S9 Series comes with a 4K SlimFit camera and supports native video conferencing through apps like Google Meet, which are included in the Samsung Smart Hub.

Smart monitor M8. combines productivity, entertainment and personal life

The Smart Monitor M8 (model number: M80C) has a stylish and slim design and now comes in a new 27-inch size in addition to the existing 32-inch size, both with 4K resolution. It comes in four color options that allow this monitor to fit into any room: Daylight Blue, Spring Green, Sunset Pink or Warm White.

Height adjustable stand with tilt support gives users the best angle. The screen can now be rotated 90 degrees, which helps users view long documents with less scrolling. It also meets VESA mount compatibility standards to help save space and maintain a clutter-free environment.

The Smart Monitor M8 can connect, manage and control hundreds of compatible connected devices via the built-in SmartThings Hub, including lights, cameras, doorbells, locks, thermostats and more. Samsung plans to expand device selection and usability by supporting Material functionality and: Home Connectivity Alliance standards starting this year.

Mouse control functionality has been added to many of Smart Monitor’s over-the-top apps, including SmartThings and Smart Hub, for a new level of convenient remote control.

Users can use Smart Monitor M8 to access Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube and other premium services through Smart Hub.[3]. They can also easily access Samsung Gaming Hub, an all-in-one gaming streaming platform.

The new My Content feature provides users with useful information at a glance. When the monitor is in standby mode and detects a registered smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy, it displays the user’s personalized photos, timeline and more on the screen. The monitor returns to standby mode when the phone moves out of range.

The SlimFit camera integrated into the Smart Monitor M8 has been upgraded to 2K resolution and works with video conferencing apps like Google Meet.

In addition, the Smart Monitor M8 is also protected by Samsung Knox Vault, which encrypts personal data and keeps stored files and information isolated from the device’s main operating system to protect it from attacks.
