Pepper Potts is a 53-year-old woman who is intellectually disabled with seizures and other health problems. He resides with his family in Hanamaulu and has a personal support rehabilitation worker working on his goals of increasing his independence.
The request is to fund the purchase of diapers and other medical supplies, as the family uses out-of-pocket money to purchase monthly supplies. Thank you for any help you can provide to support Pepper and her family.
On Christmas Eve, The Garden Island will share daily, front-page stories about families and individuals (we’re not using their real names) who are facing challenges and who would appreciate a little help.
The Christmas Fund is a way to provide that help for everyone. Donations are used by Zonta Club members to purchase gift certificates, which are in turn distributed to families and individuals through social service agencies.
Every donation is counted and recorded. There are no administrative costs and the money goes directly to providing Christmas gifts and groceries to those in need.
If you’re fundraising for the Christmas Fund, let us know and we’ll spread the word. Anyone who donates $200 or more can have their picture featured on TGI.
Donations can be made through the website at Zonta-Kaua’i.org or checks can be made payable to The Zonta Club of Kaua’i Foundation, PO Box 3032, Lihu’e, HI 96766.
