2022 may be on its way bowbut tech rumors are still swirling. The latest excitement centers around the Apple TV and its imminent arrival on the Android platform.

Not simple tweet from popular leaker ShrimpApplePro, the same account that posted yesterday’s post Pixel tablet disclosure – suggests that Apple will release an official Android app for Apple TV+ content suggestions “coming soon”. Apple Music is also apparently getting an update on Android for those sick of Spotify and YouTube Music. But There are no further details beyond these arrival announcements.

Currently, you cannot watch Apple TV+ content on an Android smartphone. In the Google Ecosystem yyou can only do this with Android TV/Google TV enabled TVs, streaming boxes and dongles. Android smartphones and tablets aren’t even listed as compatible devices on the Apple TV website.

It’s not funny though think this is where Apple plans to expand its offerings. After all, it’s another income stream, and many experts and Android fans! wrote about what Apple would gain by pollinating outside its walled garden. Bloomberg has reports In the past, the company was hesitant to do so for fear it would eat into iPhone sales. But wonder if that doesn’t give people more reason to consider switching platforms.

I hope such an integration comes sooner than later. I recently decided to give Apple TV+ a try when I realized it was the only way to add holiday classics to my list this season without scraping the web. Admittedly, after winning an Oscar Coda, I was more interested in Apple TV shows and movies.

Apple Music has also seen some interesting success on the Android platform. It is currently hovering on a cool 4.0 Play Store: ratings, which is not a bad rating. Based on reviews, ppeople seem to like its interface compared to Spotify, although they wish there were more playlists to choose from. Apple Music is currently the top-rated Apple app on Android.
