Syracuse, New York. If the Syracuse Orange needs a roper, rancher, fixer or breaker, it will have it tonight against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Cole Houser, the actor who plays Rip Wheeler on the TV show Yellowstone, attended Syracuse-Notre Dame as a guest of Syracuse super fan Adam Weitzman.

Houser’s character Rip Wheeler is the top ranch hand at Yellowstone Ranch, owned by John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. Wheeler is a no-nonsense, brawler on the hit show about the Dutton family and their Montana ranch.

Weitzman is the executive producer of a film project Hauser is working on in New York.

Adam Weitzman explains why he brings celebrities to SU games. “Nobody can ever say I don’t love this area.”

Weitzman often invites celebrities to join him in his courtside seats at Syracuse basketball games. His past guests include Buffalo Bills players Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, NFL star Tom Brady, NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.
