What to look at for in WPIAL sports activities on April 14, 2023: Undefeated Montour faces take a look at

There are seven undefeated groups in WPIAL softball, and all however one are alone in first place of their part.

The lone exception is Montour.

The Spartans have gained all six video games they’ve performed this season and are an ideal 4-0 in Part 3-4A.

They enter Friday’s recreation technically in second place, though that might change by the tip of the day.

Chartiers Valley sits atop the part with a 5-0 report. The Colts are 8-1 general and have gained seven straight.

The 2 meet for sole possession of the part lead when Montour hosts Chartiers Valley at 4 p.m. Friday.

Extra fights for first

There are two different showdowns between undefeated part groups set for Friday.

In Part 4-5A, Thomas Jefferson travels to Trinity as each groups tied for first place with part information of 3-0. The Jaguars are 8-1 general whereas the Hillers’ general report is 7-1.

In Part 1-A, Union welcomes South Facet the place the winner will take over first place. The defending champion Scotties are 5-0 within the part and 7-1 general whereas the visiting Rams are a half-game again with a 4-0 part report and a mark of 4-1 general.

Friday baseball

There are 27 nonsection baseball video games scheduled for Friday and one part contest.

In Part 1-6A, North Allegheny concludes its three-game collection with a visit north to Butler.

The Tigers are attempting to brush all three video games after beating the Golden Twister by a mixed rating of 16-2 within the first two wins.

A win on Friday would bump North Allegheny right into a tie for first place with Seneca Valley at 3-0.

A Butler victory would enhance the Golden Twister to 3-3 in part play.
