The Washington Capitals unveiled their uniforms for their upcoming Stadium Series game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. The team’s new uniforms mean the team’s goaltending duo have to make new kits to match.

Charlie Lindgren and: Darcy Kumper started doing just that during the last practice. Each goalie has a new mask, and Lindgren also recently showed off his new blocker, glove and pads. Keeping with the theme of the jerseys, the team’s Weagle logo is pretty prominent on it all.

The Capitals posted some cool photos that show off the goodness of all that gear.

First of all we have masks.

Kuemper seems to have fully embraced the Weagle theme, as he has a large one covering almost the entire left side of his mask. The number one netminder’s mask also features several sketches of some of Washington’s most famous buildings, along with a giant blue stripe in the middle filled with white stars.

Lindgren went a little more abstract. The distinguishing features of his mask are two jagged, almost lightning-like red and blue stripes that run from the back of the mask to the front. She also has her nickname “Lindy” quite clearly depicted where those lines meet on her chin.

The Caps backup was on the ice for the team’s optional practice on Friday and was able to show off all of his other new tricks.

The Weagle logo is featured on his new glove, blocker and pads. The Athletic’s Tariq El-Bashir reports that he even gets a proper stick.

The Caps tend to play in this all-new kit for the first time against the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 18 at NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium. The Caps revealed they will then hang it up for one more regular season game before hanging it up for good on Feb. 21 against the Detroit Red Wings at Capital One Arena.

Nice looking guys.
