Sideline reporters can be difficult at times, especially when they are on or near the pitch. That much was evident on Christmas Eve when Fox reporter Erin Andrews stepped into the spotlight.
Andrews played it well on the sideline while the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles won. The NFC East showdown had a dramatic finish at the end, but before that, the Fox reporter was the subject.
As noted by Twitter user Brad Parker, Andrews can leave the game with a target. The Philadelphia QB threw an errant pass that went his way. Parker tweeted“Gardner Minshew hits a wide open Erin Andrews.”

The video showed Andrews throwing up his arm to shield his face from the bullet, which ricocheted off the arm. And according to the respected reporter, it was nothing special at all. He accidentally played it.
“I married a hockey player. Slap your wrist and move forward. Hot,” she tweeted in response to the video.

Of course, a level of brand toughness given the situation. She married two-time Stanley Cup champion Jarrett Stoll back in 2017. So it seems she’s gained that level of toughness over the last decade the couple has been together.
Obviously, the hope is that he won’t have to use those skills and that moxie weekly. But it’s good in a pinch, as he demonstrated Saturday afternoon in Dallas.
