It’s been an up-and-down season for the New York Knicks (24-19), but since the start of the new year, Jalen Brunson’s star has been pointing as high as it has in his entire career. He has the team playing inspired, exciting basketball, which puts them right up there with the sixth, if not fifth, seed in the Eastern Conference. There’s a lot of basketball to be played this season, but Brunson and Julius Randle both look like an All-Star team on the rise in the Eastern Conference. They face the young and scrappy Detroit Pistons (12-34) on Sunday, who have lost four of their last five games overall.
