The Warriors got some encouraging news about Andrew Wiggins and his troublesome hamstring strain, and they’ll take any positive news they can get on the injury front this week.
Andrew Wiggins has been cleared to return to practice/shootdown, according to the Warriors. It’s out tomorrow, but it looks like it’s coming back.

Wiggins won’t return for Friday’s game against Joel Embiid, James Harden and the rest of the Philadelphia 76ers, but he will participate in shootaround and practice. It’s the next step before returning to a team that needs him badly.g ab
With Steph Curry out indefinitely and Jordan Poole traveling at quarterback, the Warriors desperately need Wiggins’ driving and shooting ability to shore up their hurting offense. They also need his defense on the perimeter to limit drives to the basket and keep opponents from getting a bonus midway through each quarter.
Maple Jordan could be back for Sunday’s game against his hometown team, the Toronto Raptors. It’s a rematch of the 2019 NBA Finals, even more fitting since one of the Warriors’ all-time greats is out with a gruesome injury. Hopefully, not too many courtside fans try to slap Donte DiVincenzo.
