Leave it to Josh Allen to have one of his best halves of the season in the frigid temperatures at Orchard Park. Allen threw three touchdowns in the first half as the Bills outscored the Miami Dolphins 21-13 in this snowy affair due to the effects of a lake storm earlier in the day.

Allen threw to James Cook to end the first half with a 4-yard touchdown run with no time left to give Buffalo an eight-point lead at halftime. He finished the first half 16 of 213 for 217 yards and three touchdowns with a 136.9 rating.

The game was even briefly delayed as Bills fans threw snowballs onto the field, the only thing that stopped Allen. The Bills quarterback also sent hits to Quintin Morris and Nyheim Hines. Dawson Knox also has three catches for 65 yards.

The Dolphins stayed in this contest thanks to a ground game that racked up 126 rushing yards for an average of 9.0 yards per carry. Raheem Mostert has 11 carries for 108 yards and 128 yards of offense in the first half. Tua Tagovailoa is 8 of 16 for 101 yards.

Miami has eight straight starts in 40 degrees or below as Tagovailoa has an 0-4 record with three total touchdowns, six touchdowns and a 61.6 passer rating in the four coldest games of his NFL career. In such games, Allen is 4-1 in freezing temperatures with 13 total touchdowns to eight turnovers.

The Bills are looking to clinch a playoff spot while the Dolphins are looking to stay alive in the AFC East race. Follow the live blog below for all the real-time updates and analysis in the second half.
