Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban are set to celebrate Christmas after jetting off to Sydney with their daughters Sunday, 14, and Faith, 14, over the weekend.
And this year’s celebrations will be especially important as it could be one of the last with Nicole’s mother Janelle, 81, who has been in ill health since January.
Insiders say Nicole, 55, is aware that her time with Janelle is limited and plans to make this year’s Christmas celebrations extra memorable.

Keith, 55, told The Daily Telegraph in October that spending this Christmas with his whole family was extremely important.
“My mom just turned 80 and Nick’s mom … who knows how many Christmases we ever have with anyone, but especially with our moms, I really appreciate Chrissy being able to spend with them and our family at Avus,” she said. :
“It’s great to have kids there, but also a big family because we don’t have family in Nashville, so it’s incredible to have all the cousins and aunts and uncles and everybody, it’s just amazing,” she added.

According to New Idea magazine, Nicole and Keith will spend Christmas at Balmoral Beach on Sydney’s North Shore, joined by Nicole’s mother and sister Antonia, her six children, and Keith’s mother Marien.
Both Nicole and Keith have lost their fathers, Anthony and Bob, in recent years.
After arriving in Sydney on Sunday, Nicole and Keith wasted no time visiting their mum and were pictured outside Janelle’s home with a bag full of gifts just hours after touching down.


Keith (pictured on The Voice) told The Daily Telegraph in October that spending this Christmas with his whole family is extremely important.

Nicole previously spoke about her mother’s health issues in an interview on the Fresh Air podcast in January.
The Oscar winner said they managed to visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales, where they attended Matisse. at the Life & Spirit exhibition, describing it as a “soothing balm”.
“We are here mainly to take care of my mother and surround her with grandchildren,” he said.

Nicole was last seen with her mother at the premiere of Being the Ricardos in Sydney last December, when the two women appeared on the red carpet together.
‘So luckily yesterday, even though Omicron is raging in this country, we were able to take him to the gallery after hours and show him the Matisse show, coming from a mother who brought me up in art, it was a soothing balm. Matisse was a soothing balm last night.
In a later interview, Nicole said she felt privileged to have been able to see the world through her mother’s eyes, describing it as “so rewarding”.
“I am where I am given the opportunity to see the world, because we are so close, my mother gives me the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of an 81-year-old woman,” he explained.


Although they weren’t photographed together, Nicole made sure her mother was well looked after, lovingly holding her hand as she chatted with him.
‘It’s so beneficial right now because he’s so perceptive. He has all the faculties of the brain, so he has lost nothing. He hasn’t lost his memory, which is fascinating, and he’s extremely bright.
“He lets me in because he’s also very direct and very honest, and I get to see the world through his eyes, through my mother’s eyes, so a part of me at almost 80 years old.”
He added: “Obviously, that’s his perspective. There are many different 80-year-old perspectives, but that’s his point of view and his particular path, but I drink it and learn.
In December 2021, the mother and daughter were spotted at the premiere of Being the Ricardos in Sydney in mid-December, with the two women hitting the red carpet together.
