There have been a number of stories over the years about a possible revival of The Simpsons Hit & Run, a Grand Theft Auto-like title set in the fictional town of Springfield. While we don’t seem any closer to a return, it appears that the game’s soundtrack has actually been uploaded to services like Spotify and Apple Music.

While this news is circulating again now, it appears that this upload originally happened a few months ago (thanks, TheGamer).

Unsurprisingly, there is some interest in whether the game could return in the near future. Back in 2021, Matt Selman, who has worked on the animated show since 1997, mentioned how he’d “love” to see a Hit & Run revival, but said it would be “complicated” to bring it back (via IGN);

“I would love to see a remastered version [Simpsons Hit & Run]I would like, [but] it’s a sophisticated corporate octopus trying to make it happen.”

In 2019, the game’s producer, Vlad Ceraldi, also expressed how “awesome” a possible remake of Hit & Run could be.
