Las Vegas Strip hotel casinos have long had a reputation for booking pop and rock music legends as residents and extending their stages.

1970s pop singer Barry Manilow continues his 2023 residency at the Westgate Las Vegas, which runs from February to December. The music doesn’t stop there, however, as several other legendary acts from the 1970s and 1980s have planned residencies or extended engagements into 2023.
Tropical rock star Jimmy Buffett postponed his Oct. 8 and Oct. 15 shows, also citing health reasons, and moved his Life on the Flipside dates to March 3 and March 11 at the MGM Grand Garden.
“Juke Box Hero” performers Foreigners take the stage at the Venetian Theater in the Venice resort, managed by Apollo Global Management. The “Fire and Rain” singer returns to the strip
1970s pop superstar James Taylor and His All-Star Band will continue the line-up of classical music artists to grace the Strip this year as he takes the stage at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on June 5. for extended shows. 3, 4, 7, 9 and 10. Taylor released his debut album, James Taylor, in 1968 on The Beatles’ then-new Apple record label, which did not sell well, according to Biography.com. The singer/songwriter’s career took off at Warner Bros. After moving to a record label and releasing her second successful album Sweet Baby James, which featured her first hit single “Fire and Rain”. Both the album and record peaked at #3 on the charts.
Success continued for Taylor as she hit No. 1 for the first time with a cover of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” from her third album Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon. The song also won a Grammy. The hits kept coming as Taylor won her second Grammy in 1977 for her cover of “Handy Man” on her first JT album for Columbia.
Taylor’s other hit songs include “Mexico,” “Shower the People,” “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” and “Up on a Roof.” He last played Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena in July 2022 and played a 12-show residency at Caesar Entertainment. (CZR:) – Get a free report The Colosseum in Caesar’s Palace.
