He found himself boring at first

“It was a song called ‘Ocean Eyes,’ and it was just a blonde girl,” Perry continued. “And I was like, ‘Meh, boring.’ Big mistake. Big mistake. Don’t let this get on the internet,” he joked.
They have been friends ever since
That joke happened in 2015, the year Elish debuted and Katy was dominating the charts and the biggest star on the planet. Since then, Billy has won seven Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. Not bad for a girl who was underestimated by Perry.
