The rapper is known for sampling multiple artists on his albums, and Donda 2 followed in those same footsteps. But this time, the rapper is being sued by a company called Trax Records for not getting permission to sample one of their songs.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by The Blast, Ye sampled Marshall Jefferson’s “Move Your Body” on “Flowers,” a song reportedly about his estranged ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Trax Records claims that “Move Your Body” is instantly recognizable as “The House Music Anthem”.
In the filing, the label says that Ye didn’t get permission to sample the song on his album, and to make matters worse, they say that “the unauthorized sample taken by West is repeated at least 22 times throughout ‘Flowers.’

The record company claims in the lawsuit that West’s unauthorized use of “Move Your Body” is a clear copyright infringement of the “Move Your Body” master recording and is, of course, blatant exploitation of the work without permission or compensation. Showing the height of hypocrisy, the West protects the rights of artists with one hand, but has no shame in taking the rights away from another artist with the other.”
Ye is being sued for profits and a maximum of $150,000 in damages. Trax is also seeking a preliminary and permanent injunction against you, directly or indirectly, in any way infringing the master recording or any rights therein.
Kanye is currently busy playing husband again, but this lawsuit may bring him back to reality.

You laid low for a few weeks and resurfaced with the ring on her wedding finger. The lucky (or not so lucky) lady is an architect with her Yeezy company, Bianca Censori. According to reports, Ye’s new marriage is real, but not technically legal because no marriage license has been filed.
That being said, the nuptials are believed to have taken place this week in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills. After the wedding, the couple was spotted dining at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills, and that’s where West was spotted wearing a gold wedding band.
The marriage is shocking because just a few months ago, before Kim Kardashian’s marriage officially ended, she was begging him to come back and talking about wanting her family together.

While Y seems to have moved on, Kim opened up about what it’s like to co-parent with the rapper. “Co-parenting is really hard,” she told Angie Martinez on the “Angie Martinez IRL podcast.”
Kim spoke about staying strong and keeping Kanye in a positive light in front of the four children they share. North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
“If they don’t know what they’re talking about, why would I ever bring that energy to them? It’s a real, heavy, grown-up thing that they’re not ready to deal with,” she said. “When they are, we’ll have those conversations. One day my kids will thank me for not sitting here and beating their dad. I could.”
Kanye has yet to respond to the infringement allegations.
