Ariana Grande is sending gifts to Manchester patients more than five years after the concert bombing

Singer Ariana Grande sent Christmas presents to hospital patients in Manchester after a suicide bomber killed 22 people at her concert in the city in 2017.

The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital charity shared that the 29-year-old singer surprised patients at local hospitals and thanked the Side by Side singer for bringing joy to children.

“Thank you Ariana.” The RMCH charity tweeted: “We were so excited to receive Christmas gifts for the young patients in our hospitals from Ariana Grande.”

The charity’s tweet included information about the hospitals where the gifts were distributed to children, including the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, Trafford General Hospital and Whitenshaw Hospital.

Tanya Hamid, interim director of the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity, also shared the happy news by posting on Instagram, Page Six noted.

“So wonderful that Ariana has once again made such a thoughtful and special donation to our family of hospitals,” Hameed wrote.

“We know that Manchester, and in particular the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, holds a special place in Ariana’s heart,” he added.

In May 2017, during the closing of the Grande, a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured hundreds more as they were leaving the concert.

A month later, the ‘7 Rings’ hitmaker returned to England and staged a star-studded ‘One Love Manchester’ charity concert to raise money for the victims and their families, as previously reported by The Daily Wire.

The concert is said to have raised more than $2.5 million for the victims and their families.

Grande posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram Story on the fourth anniversary of the bombing to all those still grieving.

“While grief is always present and our relationship with it evolves and manifests differently every day, I know this anniversary will never be easy,” Grande captioned her post. “Please know that I care [you] all today. Manchester, you are always in my heart.”
