Netflix has already announced the second season of the hit series wednesday was going to come. However, star Jenna Ortega has yet to see what’s meant to be.
Speaking to Variety, Ortega was asked if he had seen anything from the upcoming season. According to Ortega, he didn’t, noting that he thinks the writers’ room is just getting together.
“I didn’t see anything and I don’t know anything,” Ortega said. “I feel sometimes as an actor, you’re just told what to do. I’m looking forward to it, I think they’re just starting to put together a writers room, so… maybe soon.”
After becoming a huge hit for the host, Netflix announced the series would be returning for a second season last week. The Jenna Ortega-led hit became Netflix’s second most popular English-language series, with 1.237 billion hours watched in its first 28 days.
“It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people all over the world,” showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar said in a Season 2 announcement. “I’m excited to continue Wednesday’s meandering journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive into another season and explore the terrifying world of Nevermore. We just need to make sure the pool isn’t empty on Wednesday first.”
