General Hospital loses the prince. Marcus Coloma is leaving the ABC daytime soap after a three-year run as Prince Nicholas Cassadine.

“Marcus Coloma will no longer play the role of Nicholas Cassadine. His final broadcast will be at the end of January,” the show confirms Soap Opera Digest. (Daytime Confidential first reported the exit, adding that Coloma “refused to film her final scenes after learning she was let go.”)

Coloma has been playing the role of Nicholas since 2019. The role was created by Tyler Christopher in 1996, with several other actors playing Nicholas over the years, including Coltyn Scott and Nick Stabile. No word yet on when or if the role will change.
