TV series star Sonia Eddy has died. He was 55 years old.
Octavia Spencer announced on her Instagram that the “General Hospital” actress died on Monday. He did not provide details on Eddie’s cause of death.
“My friend @sonyaeddy passed away last night. The world lost another creative angel. His legions of @generalhospitalabc fans will miss him 💔🕊️,” Spencer, 52, captioned a photo of Eddie with a professional head.
“My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones, friends and fans.”
ABC also confirmed the news to Page Six via email.

Executive producer Frank Valentini also told us he’s “heartbroken by the loss of the incredible Sonya Eddy,” whom he loved as a friend.

Eddie began his long run on the ABC series in 2006. She portrayed Epiphany Johnson, a no-nonsense head nurse who was the mother of the late Stan Johnson, who became involved with the mob.
Eddie also starred in SOAPnet’s hit series General Hospital. in Night Shift.
Eddie has also appeared in television shows and movies such as Seinfeld, Patch Adams, Reba, Monk, Joan of Arcadia, CSI, Glee, Castle and Fresh Off The “Boat”. “.
