First Look at Kate Winslet in HBO Limited Series – Deadline!

HBO has released the first image of Oscar winner Kate Winslet in its upcoming limited series The Palace (wt). succession duo Will Tracy and Frank Rich and The Queen directed by Stephen Frears. Production is currently underway in Austria and will continue in the United Kingdom.

The palace tells the story of a year inside the palace walls of an authoritarian regime as it begins to crumble.

The previously announced cast also includes Mathias Schoeneerts, Guillaume Gallien, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton and Hugh Grant.

Tracy, a writer and producer for the Brian Cox-led HBO drama, will serve as showrunner, writer and executive producer. Freires will direct and executive produce. Winslet also executive produces with Frank Rich and Tracy Seaward.

The palace will feature writer Seth Race’s band, who is a writer Late Night with Seth Meyers and former The Onion head writer Julie Weiner, who wrote Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Jen Spyra, writer The Late Show with Stephen ColbertGary Steingart, who has written for The New Yorker and is an author Handbook of a Russian debutante and Sarah Delap, who wrote the script for Pete Davidson’s horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies.
