TJ Holmes and Amy Robach put on a united and happy front in their first public appearance since being suspended from Good Morning America 3 over their alleged affair.
Although their professional careers hang in the balance as ABC investigates the nature of their relationship, the hosts were carefree and devoted to each other as they strolled through the rainy streets of New York City on Thursday. .
In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the two were seen smiling and laughing as they walked down the sidewalk after a supposed dinner date at Capital Grille.
Holmes, 45, and Robach, 49, dined at the restaurant’s bar, where they enjoyed steak, salad and wine. They sat next to each other and talked throughout the meal.
After lunch, the duo walked back to Holmes’ apartment in the financial district.
While the hosts matched blue jeans and neutral-toned jackets for the outing, Holmes opted for black sneakers and a black scarf, while Robach completed her look with brown boots and a white hat.
An insider told the Mail on Tuesday that the two “wouldn’t dare be caught together … while ABC makes a decision.”
“Their marriages are over, but they have kids to think about and they don’t want to risk their future with the network any more than they already have,” the insider said.
However, a source told E! News the next day that the partners were “still very much together”.
ABC’s investigation into Holmes and Robach’s alleged affair has revealed more about her alleged relationships with at least two other co-workers, including married producer Natasha Singh.
Holmes and Robach’s friendship allegedly turned romantic after they began training together for the New York City Half Marathon in March while they were still married to other people.
However, Robach’s divorce from Andrew Shue is almost final, and a friend told Us that the Melrose Place alum “moved out earlier this summer.”
But Holmes’ wife, Marilee Fiebig, whom he married in 2010, was apparently “blindsided” by his alleged affair with Robach.
In fact, a source told Page Six that Holmes and Fiebig were trying to mend their marriage when the Robach news broke. Holmes and Fiebig even spent time together on her birthday in August.
