In its fifth week on the charts, Avatar: The way of water added $31 million to its domestic total, which now stands at $562 million and growing closer and closer to $2 billion worldwide (if it doesn’t make it this week, it will next week). Obviously, it’s all out on the box office charts, which isn’t particularly exciting to talk about, but that’s obviously blasphemy. Avatar: a series that is always doomed to make buckets of money, then have nothing to say but “that movie was fun, I’m ready for the next sequel”.

It is in second place M3GAN: (more like M2GAN:), which added $17 million (after two weeks) to its $56 million total, followed by Puss in Boots: The Last Wish: for $13 million and a $106 million total after four weeks. Tom Hanks A man called Otto This week dramatically expanded its sales to $12 million (for a total of $18 million). This weekend’s two biggest newcomers finished fifth and sixth; Airplane and: Home gatheringthe first – 10 million dollars, and the second – 3 million dollars.

We were treated to a thrilling top 10 underdog story, albeit with a horror movie Skinamarink: landing at #11 with a respectable $746,000 in somewhat limited release. The film seems to be somewhere between “genius” and “boring” for most people, so it will be interesting to see if it climbs the charts at all over the next few weeks.
