The news that Stephen “tWitch” Boss passed away last week shocked the internet and saddened loved ones and fans. His mother, Connie Boss Alexander, breaks her silence for the first time after her son’s death.

Alexander wrote in his Instagram story: “Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers and encouragement.” He continued. “Please know that I see all messages, texts, notes and phone calls. I can’t use words right now. Please know that I will stretch when I can.”

After accepting all the love and support, the last line of the message was dedicated to the late son.

“Stephen Laurel, your mother loves you for eternity and beyond. 💙 💔,” he wrote.

Boss committed suicide on Tuesday, December 13. Stephen and his mother seemed to be close. he wrote her an intimate birthday message on her birthday, September 29.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBU! (I can use it at every milestone, don’t worry about me) Scrolling and realizing that no picture is adequate to describe the happiness and pride I feel today.” he wrote in the Instagram caption in September. “Despite all your professional achievements, I am more impressed by the man you have become…from son and brother to husband and father. I couldn’t imagine a better trip. It’s not always easy, but oh well, the result is….everything. For all of tomorrow and the next 40… Let’s go.”

He was known as a hip-hop dancer, choreographer, DJ, TV host and TV producer. His latest gig was as a co-producer The Ellen Show.

tWitch is survived by his wife, Alison Holker Bos, and three children: Zaya, 3; Maddox, 6; and Wesley, 14.

His wife Alison, 34, also posted a statement on Instagram shortly after his death.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share that my husband Steven has left us,” Alison said. “Steven lit up every room he entered. He valued family, friends and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him.”

He continued. “He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am sure that there will not be a day that we do not respect his memory.”

He concluded. “We ask for privacy at this difficult time for me, especially for our 3 children. Stefan, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

The pair were first linked in 2010 during season 7 So you think you can dance?. They were dance partners during the season, which sparked their romance. On December 10, the mother of three children celebrated her 9th wedding anniversary with a warm note.

“This is our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfectly magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted. I LOVE YOU.”
