On last week Willow, Bone Reavers talked about the horrors of the trolls’ underground mountain home called Skelly, and I really, really wanted to see it. fortunately just a week laterthis sixth episode Willow they did just that when Keith and Willow were captured by the trolls and the rest of the team went to Skelly to find them. It turns out that Skellin, horrible and evil as it is, it is is much more important to the story than we could ever imagine.

Before entering Skelly, however, Willow reminded what this is all about. Prince Arik. Do you remember him? Keith’s brother, Elora’s love, and why is everyone on this trip in the first place? Well, it all started when he went out to discover the vast expanse of the desolate Unforgettable City. He appears to be alone except for a disembodied voice (revealed to be Cron in the subtitles) asking him to accept his power. Arik refuses and decides since he is alone, he might try to leave. So he starts walking. We catch him in another 50 minutes.

As seen last weekWillow and Keith have been captured by trolls and are now being transported to Skellin’s hanging cages. which has some real mines of Moria/pits of Mordor vibes. Keith seems confident that they’ll be out soon once they realize they’re not the only prisoners there. Also, there’s a man who says his name is, drum roll please, Madmartigan.

Christian Slater! Finally!

This, dear readers, is not Madmartigan played by Val Kilmer. It’s clear that it’s a character played by the credulous Christian Slater, and he couldn’t lie to two worse people in the world than Mad’s best friend, Willow, and daughter, Keith. Before they can call him out on his stupidity, however, the trolls arrive. And they are amazingly fun. It almost didn’t fit that trolls had such bubbly, comedic personalities, but hey, it Willow. After Keith reveals who he is, the trolls reveal their true purpose: to find Elora Danan for Cron.

Meanwhile, Boorman, Jade, Graydon, Scorpia, and Elora make their way to Skelly. After getting dirty with a few trolls, Graydon decides now is the time to tell Elora how he feels about her. He tells her it’s not the time or the place, but her stress seems to… change the mountain. Every time Elora has to sneeze or get scared, the whole Skellin shakes. The trolls realize that Keith and Willow’s friends are coming for them, and that includes Elora.

Back in captivity, Slater’s character is revealed to be Alagash, an old friend of Madmartigan who along with Burman, go with him on searches find the legendary Kymerian Cuirass. Allagash also says that Burman betrayed him and Madmartigan and that he knows where Madmartigan really is. In fact he is here in Skellin… type Apparently there’s more to this place than meets the eye. And so, after that bombshell revelation, Keith and Willow help break Allagash.

Scorpia leaves the rescue party to try to save some of her men who are also captured in the mine, while the other four continue to search for Keith and Willow. Or they are Boorman says he knows where he’s going, but it’s unclear if he’s being honest, and Elora’s inexplicable connection to this mountain causes him to almost fall into the lava and lose Cherlindrea’s staff. He also keeps hearing Keith’s voice yelling at him in the distance.

Keith, however, doesn’t actually yell at Elora. He doesn’t even know it’s there. He is extremely interested in Allagash and his father’s stories. We learn that they were great friends, and that despite a brief falling out, Madmartigan asked her to come with him on one last adventure. The Allagash believe that Madmartian is somewhere in the Tomb of Wiglheim, the final resting place of the legendary adventurer, who they believe was buried with Chimeris Kuras after three years of searching.

According to Allagash, when they reached the tomb, Burman betrayed them and stole the Lux Arcana, but Madmartigan entered the tomb anyway, never to return. The trolls then came looking for Madmartigan, so Alagash claimed to be him him so his friend could continue his quest without being chased. That’s why he’s stuck in captivity…but To his knowledge, Madmartigan has never been released.

While Keith learns all this about his father and his mysterious quest, Boorman is, in fact, lying. He’s not looking for Keith and Willow. He searches for the grave so that he can once again…and now belongs to Lux Arcana, try to get the Kymerisn Curass. He does, however, state that what happened the last time he was there was the biggest regret of his life, and he hopes it will be okay.

Both sides are going to the grave, inevitably everyone reunites. Burman and Allagash fight like bitter rivals. Willow is incensed, Elora has lost her wand. But before things settle down, the trolls are around and everyone is transported to the grave. To get in they have to solve two puzzles, which they end up doing when Alagash and Burman both jump in and tear it open looking for the Kuras they find. As they fight over it, Keith pulls away. He hears his father’s voice. she asks him for help and she notices that he didn’t take his sword with him. Answers to questions only reveal more questions.

Alagash defeats Burman, who escapes with Kuras and Lux, but quickly returns to help our heroes fight the trolls. He gets stabbed and realizes that the Curass didn’t work, at least on him. And so he takes out the trolls so everyone can escape before delivering the final message to Keith. She says Madmartigan left to go wherever because she believed her children could stand up for what was important at home. what was he talking about Kit asks. Elora Dana, Allagash answers. The absolute last two words Kit ever wanted to hear. More confirmation that her father had chosen Elora over her time and time again.

Unfortunate collection.

The escape continues, but Keith can’t stand it. She takes her anger out on Elora, and Elora’s stress over the situation begins to shake the mountain. Everyone wants them to fight outside, but the mountain cracks the surface beneath Keith’s feet and he is trapped underwater. Even when Elora finds Cherlindrea’s wand again, it seems to no avail. Keith will surely die.

Leaving that cliffhanger for next week, the episode finally returned to Prince Aric. His walk to leave the unremembered city takes him right back to the unremembered city. He is trapped. And just as he is about to give up hope, he hears a voice. Someone else was caught and brought here by Crone. Young woman. And while the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations” plays on the soundtrack, we can begin to guess how Aric feels about this young woman. Can he be trusted? What is his story? We will find out soon.

“Prisoners of Skellin” was another fun and extremely important episode Willow. Mainly because we now know where Madmartigan is. He is in Skellin. Or at least some other dimension accessible through Skellin, and he went there to hopefully save the world again. That he did it at the expense of the family is one thing We hope so ends later this season.

Two episodes Willow are left Watch the first six now on Disney+.
