Black Bear International arranged the financing Gentleman’s Ministry of War and handles worldwide sales of the film.
The true story concerns the World War II secret organization of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming. The Secret Squad’s unconventional and “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war and gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit.
The screenplay by Paul Tamasi and Eric Johnson, Arash Amell and Ritchie is based on the best-selling book of the same name by war correspondent and military historian Damien Lewis. Tamasi and Johnson originated the project and sold it to Bruckheimer and Paramount in 2015.
After the Best Picture Oscar nomination Top Gun: Maverick:Bruckheimer (Bad Boys for Life, Pirates of the Caribbean franchise) is producing alongside Chad Oman, Ritchie’s producing partner Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg for Black Bear International. Executive producers include Scott Lastaiti, Olga Filippuk, Damien Lewis and Tamasi & Johnson.
Ritchson stars in the Amazon series Reacher, which is among the top five most-watched series on Prime Video in the US and worldwide. He will be the next star at Universal Fast X, the 10th part of the blockbuster Fast and gassy franchise and the Lionsgate drama Ordinary angels In front of Hilary Swank.
Golding reunites with Guy Ritchie Gentlemen and is currently in post The Old Guard 2 Starring Charlize Theron for Netflix’s Paramount animated film Tiger’s apprenticeand a drama by Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater Center Owl For Sony.
Zaga recently starred Beyond space For Netflix and The New Mutants For 20th Century Studios. He also just finished filming a limited series for Apple Crowded room.
Pettyfer is best known for starring in Steven Soderbergh’s film Magic Mikeas well as historical drama The Butler and: Return roads. He will be next seen in an upcoming film 5 lb pressure.
Elwes’ career included starring roles The Princess Bride and: Saw. He would next appear in several films, including one at Paramount Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part OneGuy Ritchie Operation Fortune. Ruse de Guerreand directed by Zack Snyder Rebel Moon For Netflix. She is also starring in an indie film Blackberrywhich is this year’s Berlinale competition.
Fiennes Tiffin started playing Tom Riddle Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and has been filmed ever since after privilege, and quite recently The female king Next to Viola Davis.
Olusanmokun’s recent credits include Sand dune and: “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” for Paramount+ and he previously worked with Guy Ritchie. Man’s anger For MGM.
