Graceland will go to Lisa Marie Presley’s three daughters, as she intended.
After his sudden and tragic death last week, fans wondered who would inherit his father Elvis Presley’s famous estate.
The Memphis, Tenn., estate, which is held in trust, will benefit Riley Keough, 33, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14, a rep for Graceland confirmed to People on Monday.
Lisa Marie not only grew up in that house, but also where Elvis died in 1977 at the age of 42, when her daughter was 9 years old.
Graceland was left to Lisa Marie, the only child of the King of Rock and Roll, as part of his estate, which was dissolved on his 25th birthday in 1993, at which point he became the sole owner of the property.
However, to continue successfully managing the estate, Lisa Marie chose to create a new trust, the Elvis Presley Trust, with her mother, Priscilla Presley, 77, and Commerce National Bank.
Over the years, the trustees decided to open Graceland to the public through various tours and overnight stays.
Elvis bought the house in 1957 for $100,000. In 2020, Rolling Stone reported his estimated worth to be $500 million.
Lisa Marie was adamant that the property stay in the family.
“Graceland was given to me and will always be mine,” she insisted in 2013. “And then it passed to my children.” It will never be sold.’
Presley’s family announced Monday that they will hold a public memorial service for the singer-songwriter on the front lawn of Graceland on Jan. 22 at 9 a.m.
Family representatives previously told Page Six that Lisa Marie will be laid to rest there alongside her father and son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.
Lisa Marie died Thursday at the age of 54 after suffering cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, Calif., and then “repeatedly” coded at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.
Insiders exclusively told us there didn’t appear to be any drugs at the scene.
Lisa Marie shared Riley and Benjamin with Danny Keough, whom she was married to from 1988 to 1994.
She shared her twins with Michael Lockwood, whom she was married to from 2006 to 2016.
Lisa Marie was also married to Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996 and Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004.
