Eddie Cibrian is shutting down ex-wife Brandi Glanville’s claims that he cheated on her during their marriage to actress Piper Perabo.
“I’m sad to have to address this, I really believed we had come a long way, but this was untrue 19 years ago and it’s untrue,” the actor said in a statement to Page Six.
“Just because someone thinks something might be true doesn’t make it true,” he continues. “All this is so unnecessary.”
Cibrian, 49, quips that there are “fun times ahead at the Christmas table” as she co-parents with Glanville, with whom she shares sons Mason, 19, and Jake, 15.
Glanville previously claimed in an exclusive interview with Page Six that she had reason to believe Cibrian was “f-king” Perabo, now 46, during the production of her 2005 film The Cave.
“They made a movie together and [my son] Mason was 1, and I went on set, and it was in another country, I think, Romania,” said The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“And [Perabo] It was a scary thing for me,” the Unfiltered podcast host also claims.
Glanville recalls feeling uncomfortable when she witnessed Cibrian and Perabo’s alleged interactions on the set of her then-husband’s action-horror film, shot in 2004 between Romania and Mexico.
“She was flirting with Eddie like in front of me,” she claimed. “I was saying: “I’m here: I’m the only person [seeing this]? Like, what’s going on?’
Glanville’s suspicions were further fueled by information allegedly shared by members of the Cave crew.
“I made friends on set and heard a lot of stuff,” she told us.
When asked what he had heard, Glanville claimed he was told “Piper and Eddie are king”.
Representatives for Perabo have not yet responded to Page Six despite repeated requests for comment.
According to Glanville, he confronted Cibrian when he returned home to Los Angeles after the project was over.
“He convinced me it wasn’t true,” she said, explaining why she decided to stay with him.
“We had a 1-year-old son and he was the love of my life at the time and, you know, he convinced me a lot.”
In addition, Glanville claimed that Cibrian dismissed the concerns, calling him “crazy”, “jealous” and “that whole deal”.
Cibrian has previously been accused of betraying Glanville. He infamously entertained high-profile affairs with “Vanderpump Rules” OG Scheana Shay and country singer LeAnn Rimes, his current wife.
Glanville remained committed to Cibrian through his relationship with Shay, now 37, but called it quits when he began a not-so-secret romance with Rimes, now 40.
Glanville and Cibrian eventually divorced in 2010 after nine years of marriage.
The “Playboy Club” actor married Rhimes in 2011, two years after meeting on the set of Lifetime’s romantic drama “Northern Lights.”
Glanville, who appears on an upcoming episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reality podcast, said she was amused by the fact that Rhimes and Perabo appeared together in the 2000 blockbuster Coyote Ugly.
“It’s kind of ironic that [Perabo] was in Coyote Ugly with Lee Ann. “Oh my gosh, they shared the same D,” said the outspoken TV personality, who spoke to Page Six while promoting her role in the Peacock’s new reality competition series Traitors.
Incidentally, Rhimes and Perabo were once linked to the same man years before they ever worked with Cibrian.
In 2001, Rhimes split from her longtime “10 Things I Hate About You” co-star Andrew Keegan after she, according to E! News’ acceptance of a Daily News article.
Traitors premieres January 12 on the Peacock.
