Cecily Strong is the latest actor to leave NBC Saturday Night Live.

Strong’s last show was the Saturday Night Edition. She appeared as Kimberly Guilfoyle in Cold Open and other segments, including Elvis the Jew, as well as Weekend Update. In the latter, she played recurring character Cathy Ann, who says “goodbye” as she prepares to go to prison. He joked that he would be fine as he “had friends on the inside, they seem to be doing well” as a photo of recently departed actors Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant was flashed on screen in prison garb.

“Everybody has to go to jail at some point, right? Now is my time,” he added. At the end, breaking his character a little, he said: “I had a lot of fun here. And I feel really lucky to have had the best moments of my life in this place and with these people that I love so much.”

Another segment saw him as a RadioShack employee working his last day on the job. In the film, Kenan Thompson, who plays his boss, said he had worked there for “eight incredible years”. “Well, I’ve been here on the 11th,” he said. “I know, and eight of them were incredible,” he replied, adding: “Honestly, I don’t think RadioShack could have lasted this long without Cecily. Every time he came to work, he had a new personality, or a new accent, or a new impression that would just blow you away. He will bring strength and joy to his talk that will make you remember why you loved working at RadioShack in the first place.

Host (and Elvis star) Austin Butler then appeared as “Accidental Elvis”. the joke was that they didn’t have enough money to buy Elvis Presley costumes, and serenaded him with “Blue Christmas,” which he joined in on, followed by Thompson. and the rest SNL: throw

He joined the sketch show, executive produced by Lorne Michaels, in 2012 for its 38th season. Over the years, she’s created personas like “The Girl You Wish You Didn’t Strike Up a Conversation With at a Party” and impersonated celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Megyn Kelly and Liz Cheney.

It is understood that Strong was only scheduled to return for the first half of the current season. Fans had noticed her absence since the original season premiere in October, but when she appeared Searching for signs of intelligent life in space at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and thus was unable to record SNL: in New York.
