A McDonald’s customer mistakenly gave a bag of thousands of dollars in cash instead of food

A McDonald’s in Indiana accidentally gave a customer a bag of cash instead of his order when he went to pick up his food.

The customer, identified as Josiah Vargas, received thousands of dollars in cash in exchange for a Sausage McMuffin he ordered, according to a video he posted on TikTok.

The video shows Vargas removing small plastic bags from a McDonald’s bag.

“What is this? Why would they do this?” in the video he asks.

Then he wondered what he should do with the bag of money.

“Why are you treating me like this? Do you know how badly I want this money?” he asks during the video.

Although he admits he was tempted to keep it, Vargas is eventually seen on video returning to the McDonald’s to return the cash.

He said he returned the money to the fast food chain because he is a “good person”.

In the video, McDonald’s employees could be heard expressing their gratitude and relief when he returned the money.

“Oh my God, look at that,” said one employee. “I really want to hug you.”

Vargas then left the store and said employees were crying as they hugged and thanked him.
